Several months ago, I wrapped up a long term comic project and was feeling a little depressed over it and wasn't sure if I wanted to draw anymore. I decided I would focus on writing because I felt so burnt out over making art, and I didn't feel any motivation to pick up a pencil again.

But when some of the Peeps started nudging me to enter the Cheeks Tease contest, I decided to give it a go, even though the deadline was pretty tight. But everyone's encouragement really motivated me to create something I could be proud of. As I re-watched Cheeks' videos and looked at his photos for inspiration, I truly felt like his creativity was feeding my own. And when I started drawing Cheeks, I realized I was really, really enjoying making art again. . . In fact, just entering the contest was satisfying enough for me - because it had moved me to do something I thought I had given up on. But winning it was the icing on the cake! Especially since it led me to meet Cheeks in person as well as several other Peeps who I now consider good friends. That in itself was an amazing, memorable experience that I'll never forget! Thanks for giving me back my mojo, Cheeks! :D
